I filled mine with 78% nitrogen. It's lighter!

Had this from day 1. Every Costco uses only Nitrogen.

Good one. Nitrogen is actually lighter than Oxygen though.....Oxygen (O2) is a smaller molecule than nitrogen(N2) though,(its skinnier) so it slips through rubber about 3-4 times more rapidly even though it weighs more.
Race teams do use Nitrogen, YES it is easier to determine hot pressures with nitrogen than with air, BUT the main reason is that there are no air compressors in pit lane Eveything that is pneumatic runs off compressed nitrogen. I only use it when i have access to it free. Paying upwards of $100 for a nitrogen fill is ridiculous, you will never see that money in return in tire life. And if the reason you use it is because you dont have to check your tire pressures as often.....well thats just lazy beyong belief and maybe you should spend your disposable income on a chauffer

First of all Nitrogen is better than oxygen, period. Second of all for $30 for all 4 tires will come out WAY cheaper than the wear and tare using oxygen. Besides I tavel accross country NY tyo AZ what am I suppose to do on an interstate at 80 MPH in the middle of nowhere when the STUPID tire pressure light comes on ??? Its not lazy buddy its common sense and if you spent 30K for a camaro what the hell is $30 bucks more.
DA think about it............................... |

First of all, we arent comparing oxygen and nitrogen. we are comparing a tire filled with 78% nitrogen content to a tire filled with about 97% nitrogen content.
