I love aquariums, currently have a 75 freshwater tank. I had a 155 gallon reef tank but took it down because i ended up not having the time for it. Use to belong to Reefcentral.com

I still have my 6ft aqualight pro 250w. Anyone interested?

Haha I have no idea why it was so large - it was taken the same way all my other photos I post are!

You can count the scales on her!

On another note - it's good to see I have another resource here for questions about fish tank setups. One being - Pleco's are notoriously wasteful...they basically have a straight shot digestive tract and don't digest well. There are times there is waste that is literally two feet long floating around the tank.

Anyone have experience with wasteful fish and how to keep the tank clean aside from everyday scooping...

I have a 10 gallon tank. Which is nothing compared to you guys.

I have a baby Iridescent Shark and a 2 year old one.

Plus a 2 year old White Sucker.

My favorite fish I've ever owned was my Dinosaur Bichir. But my 2 year old Iridescent Shark ate him a couple months ago.

Goldfish keeper here. My son wanted a goldfish and we got him a pair. When they started to look "sick" after a few months I went out and learned a LOT about what it takes to keep goldfish alive and healthy. Fast Forward 6 years and I had become a moderator on a goldfish rescue web site. I don't do that anymore but it was rewarding from time to time.

They are very low cost pet once you have the tank set up and water fully cycled. After that it is just a regular cleaning/partial water change every week and keep an eye on the water conditions. They need a LOT of water per fish. Not as pretty as a salt water tank but still enjoyable. These fish have gotten HUGE now. We have 3 fish in a 50 gallon tank and it is "crowded".

-Mark.

We used to have several tanks but then we had kids and we didn't have as much time to care for the tanks.

We always bought Mollies or Swordtails and it never failed- I always ended up with pregnant ones! I was a master at breeding after that. lol

About a month and a half old. 29 gallon tank.
2 Angel fish
6 Rasboras
2 Gouramis (one blue, one kisser)
3 Cherry Barbs
3 Serpae Tetras
1 Rainbow shark

Everything seems to be getting along well so far. I'm no fish expert, but always kinda knew them, my wife worked at a PetCo in highschool, and went to one of the smaller local shops where they know everything about everything.

I would'nt say I really into fish tanks, but I do have one and have for about 15 years. I don't really pay that much attention to it. When I finished my basement about 5 years ago I built it in the wall. It was always something I wanted to do if I finished my basement. I would like to convert it to a salt water someday if I get time.

Ha I dunno, I guess one of those things how you don't hear it the same as someone would say it. Just seemed really nonchalant, I dunno. "Meh, yeah he at it. Whatever". Just made me laugh.
