So I got it back from the dealer. Haven't driven it but 5 miles from the dealer home so far but the breakdown was $284.00 for the TB, $92.24 for a harness, $276.20 for labor, and
$54.10 for misc charges and taxes.

Hopefully I do not have it go out in a week.

If you go to the dealer with little to no info and appear to be an easy target guess what is going to happen most of the time............$700 throttle body!

Yea unless the dealer covers it under warranty stay away from dealers they're crooks they'll charge you 1000 dollars to fix, an at most, 250 dollar problem but it might just be out of sync and need to be cleared so it can't relearn itself.

At 1 PM he was asking for alternatives from the dealer. At 3 PM he was leaving the dealer $700 poorer.

Why post?

And yes you could've gotten a ported TB for $350. It would've been better than what they did.

And how is a TB not part of the powertrain?

Buy the ported throttle body and install yourself. Less than 15 minutes.

That's a shame man. You should do a lot of research and talk to the people on here before you let a dealer "Fix" your car. If it aint covered under warranty than chances are they are going to rape you.

Sorry if this is repeated but has anyone had their vehicle loose engine power, had the stability system disabled, traction control disabled, the check engine light came on, and is was misfiring very badly?

I was barely able to "limp" into a dealership that is not my normal dealer. They have indicated that it is the throttle body assembly. The vehicle has only 46,000 miles and is 100% OEM. Does it sound reasonable for this to be the issue?

Also, they indicated that this is not covered under the power train warranty. Can anyone confirm?

Driving: 2010 LT2 RS. Also have had timing chain issues already. Beginning to think I got a "lemon."

Thanks for the help.
