Opinion: SS Leather seats in a 6 cylinder
I got a great deal on used flawless leather seats out of a 1LE to replace my cloth seats. The headrest has the SS embroidery. Not that I care but am I a "poser" if I don't replace the covers? I mean after all I am not claiming to have an SS just claiming to have seats that came from an SS car.
What's your opinion?

I would just put em in and not worry about it. Somebody says something about it and doesn't like it? Big Deal!

Kinda posery, yeah. "Posery" Lol.
But, they are a factory made, 100% upgrade to the cloth buckets you have now. If it was a poser-gimmick modification that did nothing, I wouldn't do it. But in your case, I actually would. Its just another story to add to the things you've done to your car TLDR: they are an upgrade, do it |

you could use your old headrest and just put a cheap leather cover on those...

Cool responses. What I really want to do is get new covers and have the 1st Iron Maiden album cover embroidered on the passenger headrest and Killers! on my side. Just need to find a place that can do it right.

For the reason the OP already stated, I don't think it sounds poser-y. He just wants a nicer seat.
And yeah, aren't the headrests interchangeable? Might be worth checking if you can order just the headrest if that's the only piece that has embroidery. Problem solved. Or, an upholstery shop could probably recover them. |

Besides... the "SS" on those headrests just stands for, "Supple Suede," right?

Do it!!! My past few cars have been BMWs and they come from the factory with M logos on steering wheels and some wheel packages even though it's not an M car. Same with Mercedes and AMG badging. Plus cloth seats aren't that great .

I love my cloth seats! The leather gets annoying when you live in a place where temps go down to -30 and up to 100.

True. I wish they were made with a different material such as a soft touch / microfiber type cloth. They were kinda scratchy to me before I swapped them out with leather.
