Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock, Knocking sound.

This morning I thought about going out in my Camaro and when I started up, Knock, Knock, Knock, Knocking sound coming from the left side of the engine. I am going to have to take it in to my dealer tomrrow morning to see what this could be.
Anyone ever heard a knocking sound from the engine?

Did you blow the engine? Could be a bent piston rod.

See the dealer. Do not drive it until you are headed to the dealer.

And you could even ask the dealership if they will tow it. They should, as part of the roadside package that comes with the car, especially if you explain the sound. They don't want any more damage done, if it is a bad rod, by you driving it there.

I will most likely have the dealer come tow it in to be safe.

Omg, I had a similar problem last night. I started my car after getting off from work, let it warm up about 5 minutes, then i slowly pulled off, and I swear, it sounded like squirells were wrestling in my trunk. It didnt come from my engine but my trunk! It sounded like someone or something was trapped in my truck and was tapping on the door "let me out let me out" knock knock knock,....not loud but tapping as if it's really a person. So I got out and was like wtf, I went and checked in my trunk and no surprise, nothing there.

I dunno what it was. It never happened before. And it didnt come from my engine. I mean the car rides fine. But Im due for a check up anyway, so tomorrow morning Im bringing the car in the maintaince. My dealer emailed me saying they'd like to inspect the car just to make sure it's running fine and in line with the warranty. I had the car for almost 3 months (2 months and a half) and I have 3,029 miles on it.

I'm pretty sure that wasnt the case with yours tho ssince my issue was stupid

That's not usually described as knocking... Lifters clicking like when you start cold or use low octane fuel.

A knock could be a lot more serious and a tow would be advised if it truely is a rod knock.

Are you sure it is coming from the engine? I'm not asking to sound like a dick. If the knocking is coming from behind you and sounds like it is in the trunk, it is your fuel system pressurizing and is completely normal.

you shouldn't be warming up the car for 5 minutes prior to driving. It needs about 10-15 seconds to get the oil circulated, and then the car needs to be driven, with only a light load, to get it warmed up as fast as possible. Letting it idle when cold just causes more wear than if you were to drive it.
