Thank you my plan will just have to wait from what i've seen here, I guess a 10k budget would be more ideal.

Like many have said, yes it is "possible". If your just building it to say "i have 650rwhp" and don't plan on doing any serious racing, you "MIGHT" be able to get there or atleast close.

650rwhp is no laughing matter. Its a lot of power if your using it at the track and could but catastrophic to your drive train.

Even if you are just building at have a fun street car at 650, I think you would need to bump the budget up a bit.

OP wrote 650HP, so I placed him at about 580-590RWHP when I replied. So now I'm not certain what OP meant, but I guess either number would be very difficult with only $5K

Why dont perfomance shop ever offer payment plans? Just team up with a major lender and offer us good deals.

650rwhp was just thrown out there but whatever it takes to get the job done, job here being able to pull on a stock GTR, a newer one, those are usually the fastest cars around here.

Small businesses offering payment plans on high-cost items is not cost effective unless what they sell is damn near a necessary/required item....like a new AC for your house.

Performance upgrades on automobiles??? Not required items; they're items that a FEW people buy when they have the discretionary funds to do so.

Bottom line? Visa and MasterCard are as good as they get......make it work .

$5,000 should get you most of the power parts.

Now you need the other $5,000 for supporting parts, install and tune.

Even $10,000 might be a low-ball number. I'd say you're halfway there if you're willing to do most of the labor yourself. And I reaaaaally hope 650hp is at the crank. You can get H/C and a tune for $5,000, but you won't get 650 crank.

I say if you don't have every single penny sitting around in a cash fund you don't need at all, don't buy a single thing. There is no bigger waste of money than modding your car, so it damn well better be completely unneeded money just lying around collecting dust.

You will need a lot more than that. Keep in mind, fuel pump ($1000), bap or fpcm ($200), supercharger ($4000-7000), tune $500, supercharger intake $300, headers $900.

That will only get you up to 560whp, or only got me to 560.
