Calling all Kentuckiana Camaro Owners!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello! My name is Mackenzie and I am trying to promote our new Kentucky car club - Derby City Camaro Club - and get some new members to join us at some gatherings.

We are just getting started, but we have hit the ground running with ideas and future plans to make this club the best we can. Currently we meet once a month at Bachman Chevrolet in Lousiville, KY to discuss our plans for events the next month and any news that needs to be distributed to the group. We also try to go to shows together and represent as a club as much as possible.

We have Jim Wilkins (C5 name: J Wilkins) as our club president and he is activly looking for ways to expand the club and get it to grow in any way possible. The club also includes members from the well known Apex Motorsports, Chase and Paul, that have been very supportive on getting the group on it's feet.

We welcome ALL generation Camaros and any cousin cars to the Camaros.

The club is just a bunch of enthusiasts that love to show off their cars, talk about their cars, and just hang out. Please feel free to contact me through here or email (mackenziekelley@gmail.com) if you're interested in joining us or have a question.

Come join in on the fun! We would love to have you! We are looking for members from Louisville, Frankfort, Fort Knox, Lexington, Southern Indiana, and Western KY. Feel free to join anywhere outside of there as well if you don't mind to drive a bit to get to some meetings.

I need you guys to come down to Somerset, KY for the next Somernites Cruise car show. I always have a good time theres just a lack of 5th gens and an overwhelming number of Mustangs. After the show, cars get out on the hwy27 strip and play around for a few hours cruising up and down the road. Some guys I know with Goats head out to the drag strip around 9:30 for the Grudge wars which goes on till 2am. Hope to see some of you out next month. There's two more shows left and there on the 4th Saturday of the month.

We came down this year in Feb. or something and I believe we plan on coming to another one soon. I'll have to check out our list of events. Where are you located in KY?

There's one Oct 27th isn't there? Also, there's a PowerCruise to Somerset Sept 22nd isn't there?

There's a Somernites Cruise car show and night cruise on both Sept.22 and Oct.27. I think those are the last for the year. I live here in Somerset, KY, the host city. They usually have several meet and greets starting on Thursdays then the car show on Saturdays followed by a rubber and gas fueled night of cruising the hwy 27 strip. I think this month they ended up with a total of 1300+ cars.

The big week is here join your local powercruise and head toward Somerset. Biggest cruise of the year. Dennis Gage from My Classic Car will be in for the show.

I'll be there. I believe some other people from Derby City will be there as well. Should be a good time. Probably not staying the night there as I only leave about 2 hours away but will be there all day and some of the night watching the strip.
