3rd gen is the worst. I can't believe 4th gen is getting the most votes!! Doesn't anyone remember what a HUGE deal that LT1 '93 Z28 was? There was nothing for anywhere close to the money that could touch it in performance. It was a bigger performance breakthrough in '93 than the 5th gen is in '10. All the magazines loved it,the brochure for the '94 included 2 pages devoted just to quotes from magazines and newspapers about how great it was. It had goofy things wrong with here and there,i owned a '95,but overall that was like somebody dropped a A-bomb on the pony car world. I am living in the Twilight Zone if that's considered the worst Camaro.

2nd gen is my least favorite, but only after 1973. I had a 73 and a 77, but the last few years of the 2nd gen (78-81) were hideous with those bulky front and rear fascia's.

Not being, 'aware' of the earlier Camaros, I googled images to help me,
I now know what each Gen looks like, and I still can't vote.................... 2nd 3rd and 4th are absolutely disgraceful IMO, and I really cannot decide which I would have crushed first!! Love the 1st gen though No offence to any 2,3 4 gen owners-just not my cup of tea!! |

I voted 2nd generation. I hate those headlights. They remind me of the headlights on my sister's old Vega.

For the longest time I hated the 4th gens... I thought they looked like oversized Geo Storms. They've finally started to grow on me now, but they still get my vote.

In order of favorite to least.
1969-2002 Trans Am/Foamy 1st gens (for if anything, the 1969 Z28/RS option) Late 2nd gens (Pops owned one, got me into GM muscle.) 3rd gens. (I-Ron Dook..) early 2nd gens. (Just never liked that styling as much as the 78-81s; 74-77 was a travesty) 5th gens. Why 5th gen as my least favorite? IMO a sheer disconnect from the road thanks to NHTSA requirements for over 9000 airbags. Having driven a 4th and 5th gen back to back, I can say that same feeling of a rattle trap 4th gen.. a rusted out 3rd gen.. a 2nd gen on it's 15th crate motor or even that half past dead 1968 is just GONE. It's just too nice to be a Camaro.. Is that even possible? |
