Stock LS3 dyno numbers??

I was wondering what kind of numbers people have been seeing on stock LS3 Camaros? I have looked a little and can piece together a dyno here, or a dyno there but they're rarely bone stock numbers. I've seen as high as 380 whp, and as low as 360 ish whp.

I know every motor is a little different, but it would be nice to get a feel for 'average'. I didn't get a chance to get a baseline in before I went for the exhaust and now intake.

They are not as different as you may think, I have found them to be extremely consistant from car to car, in fact with in 5 RWHP

372-377 RWHP is what we are seeing.

There is More varience in Dynos, and dyno operators proceedures.

Make at least five pulls to stabilize your numbers.

Thanks for the info! I'll be making some pulls once the CAI inc intake comes to you, then gets shipped to me next month.

We need a sticky for the LS-3s that have been on the dyno.

agree... that would be cool... maybe even some sort of chart that shows mods and numbers? Maybe one already exists?

Stock LS3 Dyno From Colorado

Rats, I posted this in a new thread then found this thread.

Here is the best Dyno run on my stock LS3 at mile high altitude in Colorado.

RunFile_003.drf - 1/30/2010 3:09:25 PM RunType: RO Run Conditions 67.01F, 24.29 in-Hg, Humidity: 6%, SAE: 1.23

RunFile_003.drf Max Power = 365.08 Max Torque = 371.28

The shop that did the dyno said they could tune it for this altitude and get a bit more power but I am going to wait on the tune; going slow with modifications. I got theses parts in hand and they should be good for a modest gain, they won’t void the warranty and are a quarter to a third the cost of a full CAI. So first up I am going to install on the stock air box:
1) K&N High flow air filter
2) New Era Polished intake pipe
Next, I have on order from RevXtreme a LS3 Single Oil Catch Can. It won’t increase performance but is a preventative measure akin to changing the oil.

Thanks for the post Mick... out of curiosity, what altitude are you at in Colorado?

Mile High City

In the Denver metro area we are at a mile high, 5280 feet above sea level, with variations of a few feet either way as you move around. It gets higher as you go west into the mountains of course but drops off as you head east out into the plains.

Those are decent numbers, especially considering the thinner air up there!

So are you saying the custom tune only adds 5hp? I would probably save the cash and just go with the long tubes and CAI

HP numbers are going to vary.

S22150 picked up an additional 14 rwhp from the tune after installing CAI and Headers. The tune also puts everything where it needs to be for a safe and conservative setup.

Every car I've ever owned has reacted differently to the combination of an intake, headers, and high flow cats. That's why I'll always tune my cars for these mods.

If you go with long tube headers you will need a custom tune anyway.

Just to share my results. Didn't get a stock pull so I don't have a baseline.

Modifications:
Fastlane Pipeline CAI
SLP LT Headers
SLP 3" PowerFlo X-pipe
SLP PowerFlo Exhaust w/ Square tips
Tune

422.85 rwhp
