Well Fords not taking any govt handouts like GM so they dont have to appease the govt and play nice. And with Chrysler, they are a privately owned company so even though they are getting some handout they can probably get away with more. Its all up to the manufacture in the end, as of right now anyway.

Thank God. What would the world be without overpriced mustangs?
Sounds like the new Charger is going to stay a sedan. Sad. Ruining a heritage just to sell a few more cars.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

so GXP ftw. And where'd you get 4.7 from? That seems about 0.5 seconds faster than true. |

Got to give Chrysler and Ford props for having enough confidence in their SRT and SVT divisions to produce high performance products. It is only in these divisions that the proper R&D can be done to match performance, technology and fuel economy that will keep American cars unique and different from the rest of the world.
