To those already complaining about the car's performance numbers. SHAME! The vehicle just came out, so the cars being tested have what ... a few hundred miles on them? Let the freakin cars get broken in already!

MT ran 12.1@117.4 with one, and C&D turned a 12.3@119 mph. People, that's only a few tenths from being in the 11's ... bone freakin stock ... for around 55k ... WITH A FACTORY WARRANTY.

So Congratulations and Good Luck to all the new ZL1 owners.

I know it's happend before, that a new car comes out and not performed as advertised. Ford had this issue in 1999 with the Cobra. After a multitude of owners presented low dyno numbers and poor track results it became an issue. Ford never offically "recalled" the car, but if you were an individual who felt your car didn't have the advertised 320 hp, you could call svt and get with "program".

Ford did the honorable thing, which gave owners a new intake manifold, computer, and exhaust sytem to bring the cars to the originally claimed hp numbers.

Not saying this is the case, just saying that is has happend before.

Exactly, I believe GM advertised it as a 12.1 second car and I can guarantee you that it will hit that mark. So I don't know why people keep acting like they are that shocked at the first few 1/4 mile runs with this car. The numbers will improve as guys get more seat time just as they do with most all of the cars Chevy or Ford. GM also advertised it primarily as a track car so don't be upset if it doesn't run consistant 11's. JMO
