I have heard that if GM goes into bankruptcy soon (Monday?) that all production lines will cease producing cars and all will be shut down includng Camaros in Canada. Any other views out there?

Im sure that some of their lines will stop and other will go into a temp shut down / slow down...

I would highly doubt will all the orders they have to fill for the Camaro that it would be one of those. They've stated numerous times that the Camaro line would be one of the very last to be effected by anything.

PS, "I have heard that if GM goes into bankruptcy" is how rumors start... so and so heard.. well ya so and so heard...

I would think that they need money and with this car being their number 1 in demand currently, they will want to get our orders out. No cars=No money and that isn't exactly a good thing for them.

STOP allready. Chapter 7 yeah sure. If I was a Bankruptcy Judge I would PENALIZE GM for shuting down the Oshawa line. The idea is to profit from the work.

Wait a minute. To affect the Oshawa line wouldn't they have to file in Canada as well? I'm not sure any looming filing extends beyond GM USA.

Chrysler is not building squat right now.

Dakota Kid is right. Chrysler did shut down most of their manufacturing operations.
Everything I've read says that they will not shut down production, but anything can happen. Just like they were running Saturn Commercials saying "we aren't going anywhere". At that time they technically weren't going anywhere, but it was all but confirmed that they were getting sold off and or shutdown.
