WHIPPLE Major Belt Slippage help.

Hey guys i have a whipple making 724 rwhp and 770 rwtq and i have a 10 rib setup from whipple .. I am having major belt slippage 5000k rpm and above .. anyone have any ideas how to fix or eliminate this ?

Probably can't help you much, but is the belt in good shape and and everything adjusted where it should be??

Does anyone offer a better tensioner for the Whipple?

i would like to know also. maybe the upper pulley needs to be backed off some ?? i dont know...

i dont know if its the tensioner because this is a beefier unit from whipple then what kit comes with or if it's ajustments we need to make on upper pulley...
These numbers are on a mustang dyno...

Its got to be tension, I see no reason to be slipping a 10 rib setup unless your over 20psi then maybe but I would asume the Whipple will be overspun @ 20psi

i am on the 2.75 pulley maybe i need to try the 3.0.

Overdrive the crank and increase the pulley size assuming that's your issue. I would think tensioner first though. Gets pricey throwing parts at something without knowing for sure first.

yeah .... sucks whipple claims no slip with this setup and its slips like crazy at 5k is what i was told.. so im gonna look into a better tensioner.

I've heard that tensioner works really well, so maybe a overdrive crank pulley like suggested earlier....
