ordering a new vert- should I wait for 2012
does anybody really know the changes for the 2012 vert? is it worth waiting for ordering a 2011?
still not sure on the color yet too. was hoping GM would add lemans or nassau blue. any thoughts on when GM opens the ordering window for 2012? and how much more the 12 will be. thought about waiting for the ZL1 but think I want a vert. what is the nicest vert color combo? thoughts on IBM or summit white or CGM? thanks, |

at this point at least wait to see what changes are for sure in store. also see what price changes and options will be added. but if u want a better deal on a 2011 then wait a bit longer. if u have waited this long then its not gonna hurt to wait a lil bit longer

agreed. any thoughts about the nicest color combo. i was hoping they would add jetstream blue for 12. i read so much about nobody buying blue but I go back to the 60's and 70's and their were a ton of blue cars.
thx |

Just an FYI if you wait for the 2012 it will be end of august early september before you see your Vert..then being in NY only about 2 months before you have to store it...if you jump on the 2011 you can be driving it in June...

Long term getting a 2011 vert is an advantage with the 1st year vert and a limited production year.
Short term getting a 2012 would be a more solid car. There's always problems that can not be detected until mass production. There were early reports of leakage. If your going with the V6 you may also want to wait for the 2012 with the increase of horsepower. Also realize that the dark red (RJT) color is going away in 2012. |

good point but I don't think any new car will be an investment anymore, maybe 30 years from now.
I was told their are some good changes in the 2SS too. |

This thread should tell you all you need to know about changes in 2012. Personally I'd hold off and get a 45th anniversary edition

I am enjoying mine now. The color combination of Red Jewel Tintcoat with the two tone neutral/black interior and beige top is gorgeous. No RJT next year so I'm personally glad I've got mine now.

I've owned three so far. An 05 GT, an 08 Bullitt, and the 2010 Roush. Out of the three I think the Bullitt was the most fun to drive. The Roush is okay but I drive the Camaro first. I may sell the Mustang. Haven't really decided yet.

I would wait and order a 2012 as soon as you can. Who knows what new colors/options will be available, and it will be worth a couple thousand more in 3-4 years compared to a 2011.
Colors: Summit white, IO and IO interior and stripes, tan top-- Sorry, I'm dreaming.
