Leather delete option?

May be a dumb question but does anyone know if it is possible at all to get 2SS or 2LT with cloth instead of leather seats?

Find someone who wants to trade with you. Thats the only way. It's probably more work then it's worth though. Why is it you don't want leather?

I have had cloth seats in my car for about 7 years and they look as good as the day I got it with no stains or butt impressions and that is with barely any maintenance. I'm just worried from what I have heard from other members that even if you take great care of leather seats they will still crack and get damaged.

Thing is the seat covers are just zippered on. So if down the road they guy bottoms up you could just get a replacement one. There are also aftermarket ones starting to come out.

i thought about just going with a 1ss but according to the chevy website on features and specs the c&c package isn't available on 1ss but the camaro builder says otherwise. Other than that the only difference would be HUD, auto dimming mirrors, and universal home remote which I'm not sure if I need.

Yeah, I wish I could have gotten some of those options too, but I wanted cloth for the same reason you listed, the look nice for a long time. Come on GM give us some options!

I don't know about the new Camaros, but on my 2004 Monte Carlo, the seat heater is built into the seat cover. The covers for those seats run about $500. That's a little expensive for seat covers, in my opinion.

If they are 100% leather that sounds right. I just sold Fiero seat covers for 350 and they were used, new go for $700.

The only leather in the "leather interior" is where your ass and back go. The rest is vinyl. After GM got me with the "leather" on my brand new 1998 Z28, I vowed never again. It is unfortunate that you can not deletye the vinyleather on a 2SS or I would have done this. Instead, I am adding the stuff from the 2SS that I wanted, such as the gauge pack that is alteady installed on my 1SS.

Might be easier to get an 1SS and add what you want later.

I am glad people like leather.

What he said... not sure if you can add homelink or not, but a lot of the other deltas can be added.

btw, I drove a 1998 Firebird for 12 years, w/o any significant wear on the leather seating. As far as maintenance, I occasionally used Zaino leather cleaner on it. Hopefully my Camaro leather will fare as well...
