Rally Yellow SS with Black Rims.

I'm thinking of having my stock SS rims Powder Coated Black for my Yellow SS but not sure if I'll be happy with the look after its done ? Please post pics of ONLY Rally Yellow with Black rims please, thanks.... I would LOVE a set of Black ZL1 rims.

I know your asking for pics and i can't help you there...but I would like to offer my opinion if you don't mind. I personaly don't like a ALL black wheel because it gets lost in the tire. You cant really tell where the rim stops and the tire starts. What I do think would look great (and am planning on doing myself in the future) is to have a wheel that has a black center but a polished or chrome lip / rim. That way it breaks it up some.

I think we can help you.

This is the Scarallo Drift-R in Carbon. Carbon is a matt-black finish fully painted with just the very edge of the wheel machined. To break-up the tire from the wheel.

The Scarallo Drift-R is also available in the ZL1 sizes. 20x10 front and 20x11 rear.

This is the same wheel in the Tuxedo Black finsih. Gloss black centers with the entire lip done in Diamond Polish, and fully clearcoated.

Exactly. I have been saying this for years. There's no contrast. It all looks as one...the tire, the wheel, heck it looks like a spare tire.

But the wheels pictured above and some others, where the lip is polished, make a HUGE difference. It looks far better, in my opinion.

I agree that you should have an accent color. I went with a chrome lip and black face

Cool

Chrome Lip? Really?

Make about as much sense as getting some steel LS wheels!

Black Wheels

Check these out. If you google the PVD Black Chrome, you will find a company that will do yours.
