They totaled my drivetrain...

So I picked my car up today from the tire place where it has been for a week waiting on a new P Zero to be shipped in.
I told them to lock it up at night and they said don't worry they'd take care of my baby.
Today I was called to pick my car up so I get a ride in my friends new stang there.
The tire was warranted so no charge to me. When I dropped off my car, it had 8951 miles on her. (OnStar Report proves it.)
I pick it up and check (because I'm like that with my stuff) and it has 8964 miles.
Ok WTF?
I'm livid. The one guy who helped me out through the whole thing agreed that was unacceptable.
They said it was for the TPMS to reset. I call my dealer he said that's a lie because it's done through the computer. No test drive necessary.

Either way when I left it was clunking into gear and idling rough. They drove the hell outta my car. Dealer says warranty will cover any drivetrain replacements

What should I do guys?

It's an L99 too so it's easy to tear up and expensive to fix...

Go back up there and WHIP SOMEBODYS ASS!!!! That would piss me off so bad that the owner of the tire place would have to do something about this and also I would find out who did it!!!

if the dealer said warranty will cover it, then the warranty will cover it.

be sure to report the tire shop to the Better Business Bureau and never go back there again.

besides, why would you leave your car overnight at a tire shop? the only place you should do that is the dealership, and i wouldn't even trust them.

Get the Managers name, the Owners name, and complain like a mutha...

Also, have the warranty work performed, that way you know how much damage to complain about.

You could also contact your local "on your side" news team and a lawyer if necessary.

Trust me it made me sick to but I'm from Houston which is where I bought it and I go to school 4 hours away and that's a long tow. The dealers here pretty much gave me a cold shoulder cuz i didn't buy the car from them.

I would be making some formal complaints, with shop or franchise owner and make sure you keep a paper trail .... CYA

I would be really pissed and demand some compensation of some kind. I would definatly make sure the owner of the shop knows about it, I would complain to the BBB, and never go back there again.

what tire shop was it?

please don't say Discount Tire Co.

i used to work for one back in high school in houston.

i didn't trust anyone i worked with there with my cars, nothing but a bunch of kids or dead beats that dropped out of college.

if i ever need a tire fixed on the camaro, i'll be taking the wheels off myself and personally watch them unmount/mount & balance the tires.

It's a Bridgestone in Waco.
And u shoulda seen the guy that drove my car.... I was sick. He looked like a drug dealer. Maybe that's where my car went
I regret my decision now...

Time to see what else OnStar can keep tabs on. See if they maintain a GPS trail, or any traction control events. Sounds like the shop giving it hell with TC on. Worth a shot don't ya think? You know when you turned the car in, and the miles, you sure weren't driving it, yet more miles on car.... sounds crooked.

I agree. They acted very unprofessional.
I'm positive the guy who drove mine was trying brake stands, donuts, etc. with TC ON!!! It's a little more sophisticated than his 1983 Cadillac DeVille.
All I know is it is far from running right.
I hope none of you feel this pain...

Here's what I'm gonna do. Take it to my dad's shop and he's gonna run complete diagnostics and recent history to see how often the throttle has been 100%, TC codes, Mixture, Tranny Codes, Etc. So we have this on file.
Ammo is a necessity of war.
Gotta love how the CPU does and means more to the car than the Engine lol
