Yea this.

It's clear it's not a 45th by paint color so stripe away.

Agreed

Don't know how many times I had to explain 45th anniversary, not 45th edition to people..

Still any 2012 is technically the anniversary date. I say go for it..

I am one of the few who actually got rid if the stock 45th vinyl but to each camaro his own..

Makes me miss our 45th SS. They are unique and some people just think it's stipes and badges. But it's a unique color, yes stipes, exterior & interior badging, wheels, embroidered 45th on the seats and the interior stitching was different color too.

You can always have a vinyl guy cut you come custom colors, flip flop the colors and leave off the 45th from the stripe. There's several options

This is the route I wanna go. Now i just have to brake down and get some of the 1le repro wheels.

I look at it this way... If another year version has a part that improves performance, then yeah, it's not sacrilege to mod. (You can't begrudge somebody that wants to go faster.) But if it's to copycat the factory appearance of something it's not, that means you're posing.

Do what you want, but If you were a proud 45th anniversary owner, would you like other people copying your style?

Well to be fair you do have a 2012 which makes it a 45th. Just not a 45th anniversary edition. I think you arr pkay to put those stripes on personally.

EVERY 2012 is a 2nd anniversary, or 45th anniversary, depending on what you believe.

The decals simply say 45th. Nothing more. EVERY 2002 Camaro came with a dash badge that said 35th Anniversary. But not every 35th Ann was a 35th LE. Never heard any outrage from anyone without an LE that put LE stripes on their 2002. So it should hold to be the same in that vein. It's a 2012, put the decals on if you want. You'll be correct. The naysayers are incorrect. It's not posing. And if people still believe it is, give them a choice. Tell them either to pay for the decal removal, or STFU and simply eat your crotch. No money invested, therefore no vote.

If you believe the other side of the coin, the NEW GM built a good portion of the 5th gen Camaro, while the old GM that quit making cars back in 2009 isn't responsible for anything past the 43rd anniversary Camaro. So maybe the 2012 45th anniv editions may not even be right...

Don't they say 45 on the stripes though? Maybe find a duplicate without that because a refresh is obviously not a 45th... It would just bug me if it was mine. I love the stripes without the number too

Ok this is a WIN!!!!!

I agree with the consensus........... I have a 1LT but I also have a SS front bumper. No badges though. I wanted to make the car more unique to me.

A seventeen year old girl?
It is just a car. If the OP sells the car and the new owners don't like the stripes they can take them off.
It only matters that he likes them.

I was at a car wrap place two weeks ago. I asked them if they would carbon fiber wrap my roof and halo on my Corvette.

The guys wife chimes in and says that the wrap is hard to get off.
I looked at her and just replied who cares. When it is time to be removed the car will belong to someone else.

We live in a disposable world.
Do what makes you happy.
No matter what we do there will always be an internet for keyboard jockeys to bash us on.
You are not going to own the car long enough for another Camaro owner to say anything in public about it, to you.

Most of Camaro the owners don't even wave at another Camaro owner.
So you must not be to proud of your cars anyways.

I Sir wave at other camaro owners. Just like I wave at other bikers when I ride. It's just what you should do. There isn't a whole lot of is out there........
