First clip is stock except for a Volant cold air intake. No tune.

Second clip is with Stainless Works 1-7/8" long tube headers w/ high flow cats, 3" cat back exhaust w/ chambered mufflers. Also still have the Volant intake under the hood. Tuned after the new mods were installed.

Gentle take off on a Sunday morning (my wife didn't want to piss off all the neighbors).

Whether or not the videos tell the tale, I am quite happy with the growl it now possesses.

Is that with the SW Retro Chambered muffler or the Turbo chambered? I thought the SW Turbo-S tube was loudest but those are loud (good). Might be due to headers helping. But which ones are they?
Thanks

Cherry Bomb Extreme Cat-Back - 2010 SS 6M with no other mods.

No drone at any RPM in any gear. I went into this install expecting it to sound rough being that the resonators were pulled out but it really sounds no different between 60-80 mph in 5th or 6th gear.

Overall, the sound is great with a nice deep tone and like the name implies, extreme when it needs to be.

Just had my headers and exhaust delivered today, I'll probably have it all installed Saturday and then I'll get a video up for y'all.

It's SW 1 7/8" LT's w/o cats and a SW 3" Retro exhaust.

I made this video of my Stainless Steel Retro Chambered 3" catback hooked up to stock cats and stock headers vs stock exhaust. Shows a nice comparison of sound.

I also have a CAI from Cold Air Inductions on (but it was on for both stock and SSW comparisons).

Hi guys,
I could use your expert opinions on how to finish my exhaust setup. Here's my current configuration:
OBX LT's (let's avoid the bashing here please)
Off-Road Mid-Pipes (no cats)
Stock LS3 Cat-Back
JRE Tune

Here are my goals:
Want cats to be emissions-legal and avoid exhaust smell my wife hates
Want cat-back/mids setup with no drone, deep tone without raspy sound, open/hollow classic muscle sound similar to old flowmaster 40 series but maybe with a modern twist

So far, I have considered the Doug Thorley cat-back, as that seems to be an affordable solution, but I'm not sure what to do with the mids. I'd prefer something I can bolt on myself over having to weld on generic cats.

Any suggestions are much appreciated, thanks!
