Anyone with FI switch to a 2bar SD OS?

I'm thinking about doing this; right now I'm running MAF only since I have no idea how to tune the virtual VE tables. The primary problem with the MAF only is that the throttle response is sluggish.

do it, lots of nice features and you can still run maf with a higher hz limit and full cooling fan control and a real ve table

I've done it on my vette. Has some great features and the extended maf range. I still run maf only like I did before and it runs perfectly. If yours is sluggish there is something not right regardless of the OS.

Yes, a combo tune still allows the drivability you want from the MAF and opens up WOT.

How could running the VE open up WOT? I could never get the combo to work as well as maf only, and trust me, I spent many, many hours trying.

I believe Tracey is referring to the resolution that you now have in boost regions (105+ kpa). I have completed a lot of MAF/VE tunes (Of course you need to tune both) for these Camaros/Corvettes, using a 3BAR Map sensor also to not let FP drop... The 2 BAR OS SD is real nice for a high boost application, but at the same time the "stock" OS has a lot of resolution through the MAF (Increased range over the LS1 ECU), and tunability in the VE tables (Yes with HPT the best way is to use EQ VE program). For high boost the 2 BAR is nice because you can have a lot of resolution across the RPM band, but you lose the compensation factor of the MAF.

Is there a particular reason Steve as to why you want to go 2BAR over the factory OS?

I took the plunge and you're exactly right! I ran it several times today in open loop and have the VE tables dialed in. MAF is next and we should be good.

Sluggish was a poor choice of words, throttle transitions are choppy. I want a smooth acceleration.

Started tuning the 2bar VE tables today, I can already tell a difference.
