First time at the dragstrip

I went for the first time ever to a dragstrip last week. My first pass I ran a 14.2
And by the end of the night I was running a 13.5. On a bone stock ss m6

I wish I could have done better. A couple bone stock 5.0 mustangs ran 12.6s
Here's the slip from my best run.

I'm 335 on the slip

Nice times! More practice and a lower 60' time and you'll see those times fall!

Yeah I'd like to get it down to 13.0 or a 12.9

Are you sure the Mustangs were completely stock? I have a friend with one (Uncle Robin) who's a helluva driver and he ran 12.89 but he was born with a manual shifter in his hand.

I've seen bolt-on new 5.0's run around there, 112-114.

You'll need to get the car quicker from the launch to the 1/8th, target MPH like 85-86.

I want to run my car again this week or next hoping to better my bolt-on times.

I also doubt they were stock. Don't feel bad at all. I mean you have a few freaks out there from time to time. But ive seen the average times at 13.0 - 12.9 for the quick stock ones with average drivers, i haven't ran mine so i cant attest to its performance, it wouldnt be a fair comparison due to the bolt ons it has now.
