yes... set the CAGs to off...

hook up to your car... select the same tune you installed before (91 octane tune), then select Modify Tune... go into CAGs, highlight OFF, press the center enter button to save the change, then press the ESC button a few times and it will ask you "Install tune now?" - answer/select YES and it will install the tune change you made...

If you want to talk to somebody with great prices and a wealth of knowlege, pm or Call Jannetty Racing.....Ted is great to work with! Plus if you buy from him, and you decide to change something, he can help with remote tuning!
What Options would you be able to call them about to have Changed?

Did you buy the PC Cable and Extra Power Cable in order to do Internet Updates?

That totally blows that it doesnt come with those Cables and Power Adapter,... That's an extra $40 on the site that I saw it for sale on.

My PC doesnt even have those old Com 1 or Com 2 Serial Ports any longer so you pretty much have to buy the Serial to USB Adpater Cable,... I dont know if any of the Misc Adapters I have laying around here would work with that Tuner or Not.

I'm having to Return my SC Cortex Tuner (Read About The Problem I was Having If You Wish http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64902 )

But I'm thinking about getting the Diable Tuner in Exchange. I also have a AirAid CAI and Custom Exhaust done,... Are there any Special Tunes for people who have added those sort of things to their 2SS?

Jim

no special tunes are needed for GM's like they are for fords or chryslers with that setup like you have...

after installing a diablo tune and putting on about 100 miles, you can do some data logging and get your fueling adjusted correctly so that your average ltft's are in the 0 to -2 range... doing so will give you even quicker throttle response, better acceleration, stronger/harder pull, and better mileage to boot!

here's info on how to do that:

http://diablosport.com/index.php?nam...iewtopic&t=917

as for the cables, you can get/use a USB to serial cable (make sure the drivers are installed for it), and the power supply needed is a 12v 1 amp power supply (2.5x5.5mm tip, center is positive)

Do all of the Diablo Tuners have this Ability or do you need the Higher End Models?

I saw a post somewhere at one time that gave you the Model # of the AC Adapter and USB Cable from Radio Shack, I think the price was like $15 Bucks or something, I dont remember the price actually,...
You dont happen to know that Information right off hand do ya?

Thanks for the link to that information, I added that to my favories forsure.

do they all have the ability to data log and make those adjustments?? yes...

for the power supply:

Power Adapter:
CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER
OUTPUT : 12VDC 1000mA (1 Amp)(Radio Shack Part # 273-1776)
Note: Plug Tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive.(Radio Shack Part # 273-1717)

Radio Shack normally carries both of these items. Most Wal-Marts have the Power Adapter (multi output version).

Thanks for the Information but theres one problems,...

I can't find this part 273-1776 anywhere.
The ONLY one that I can find is this one,... 273-316 for $20 Bucks.

Hell,... by the time you pay for the AC Adapter and the Plug tip your already at $27 without Tax and without the Serial to USB Cable.

The only one i can find on their website is the Palm GUC232A USB/Serial Adapter for Mac and I have a PC not a Mac, That alone is $40 which is a pretty Crazy price so now your at $67.00.

yeah man... dunno... those could be old radio shack numbers....

don't go by the part numbers...

just go by the power adapter specs and find one that is the same...

12VDC - 1 Amp - Plug Tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive.

If you buy the Predator through Brandon at Maryland Speed, they throw in the PC interface kit for free.

I know I'll sound nooby but how will the diff octanes affect the car?

And are there any downfalls to using higher octanes on the Camaro? The dealer told me to use regular always.

Depends on whether you are V6 or V8. From the looks of your avitar V8 and your dealer would have told you wrong. V8 should be running 91 or higher. V6 just stick with regular. Search Fuse Pull thread and you'll get all the info you need.
