They're going to replace the entire dashboard? Wow, for me that's a little too extreme. I'd be worried about something not being hooked up right, nicks while trying to reinstall, rattles, etc. If that's how GM is handling the situation for now, I'll live with the bubbles.

Good luck to you though. Hopefully your guys will do a good job. However, I also think the issue will happen again, eventually.

My car also only sits out at work--but that is 9 hours a day. And I do use a sunshade.

im sure that the "bubbles" will appear on the new dash as well, just like you stated. I am confident in my dealers service shop that they can install everything perfectly. if not, thats all on them.

If this truly has to do with the shape of the dash with the added on materials (leather/suede).. We may not see a fix for this. GM can simply give me a 2010-2011 dash if I have issues

Yep, I'm joining the club too. Just noticed it happening yesterday. Just one little thing I don't have time to deal with after another...

So they don't try to fix or replace just the leather part, they actually replace the entire dash? Dumb question maybe but what all is included in this replacement? I have installed the ABL footwell strips so they're mounted down there along with my wire taps into the BCM and a switch I mounted in a factory hole near the hood pop. Would I have to rip that all out for this? Anyone with a decent set of eyes will notice that wires have been tapped down there. Hope they wouldn't give me issues because of it.

The dash issue appears to be a common on all year models... even the 2010's and up... I know this isn't directly inline with the thread of 2012's, however for the ones who on here with previous model years, look where the passenger airbag is on top of the dash, and there MAY or MAY NOT be a small hair linecrack developing. My car is at the dealer know getting the dash replaced. My wifes car has the same exact dash crack, and a few friends I know have the exact issue with their 2010. Here is the thread on those.

Yall are not making my morning today.

The list of potential problems in these cars is very very long. It doesn't bode well for me to own this car for a long time if it's going to have all these problems.

I'll look and see this afternoon if my car has this problem. It's rarely outside. Parking garage at work, normal garage at home. almost 1 month of ownership and 3100 miles so far.
