Did you buy the rims new or did you have your aluminum wheels chromed by a shop?

Looks awesome. Back when I was planning on getting an SS I wanted to go almost this exact direction. Love the red stripes and chrome wheels.

i got them off of Ebay, it was a chrome exchange in LA, so they send the chrome ones, then you ship them your wheels back, and they chrome them & send them to another buyer etc.

thanks! i knew this is exactly what i wanted. even though i could not get it straight from the factory (red stripes and chrome wheels) but you can get anything off of ebay

I damaged my wheels on a curb, slight scratches on the rim....so the exchange thing isn't an option. I'm looking to powder coat my rims. Best estimates i've found are $600 in the LA area. Drop off your car at 8am, pick up at 6pm, they do everything for you.

900, plus you put 800 deposit. when you send them your rims back if they are ideal (no road rash, no damage) you get that 800 back. but im pretty sure they take some of that money or possibly all of it if your rims require more work to fix/chrome. so i suppose it could differ from case to case

With all the options available they should come from the factory. It's time for the orange stripe and interior to be replaced, or if they could just add more colors that would be good too.

you can still do it, one of my rims had some damage, so i sent them a picture before ordering and they said it wasnt beyond repair. still got the full deposit back

bought them & exchanged the RS SS rims to be chromed for another buyer.
