I'm leaving tonight in mine. Going from Knoxville, TN to Huntington Beach, CA. Should be a great trip!

My husband and I took mine from Michigan to the Great Smoky Mtns, then on to Panama City Beach, FL and then back to Michigan in April. 2,400 miles.

GREAT drive! DO IT!

Depends on the road conditions in those mountains... Mountains back east aren't as tall as ones out west, so snow probably isn't an issue anymore, but if it was a bad winter, the roads might just be one big pothole after another. Drive it, but be prepared to fix rock chips.

Go rent one and leave yours at home Best of both worlds!

Honestly, took mine on a 700 mile weekend romp with a few Camaro friends and all our Camaros handled it very well. My butt was not sore, my Camaro was not damaged, and fun was had by all parties involved except the cows getting driven down the road we road partied on. Yes, we ran into a cattle drive.

Thats about it lol
This is why I rent a car for trips across stares.

I don't believe in trailer queens but I do like reduced damage when I'm just driving on the highway. Repainting the front bumper constantly on my old car got to become too much of a hassle.

Driving just on the highway can be done using some else's car. I'll get an eco car if I'm going to be driving for over 2000 mi but I usually get a comfortable car.

Drive it. You're paying for it and bought it to enjoy. Why save it for the next person?

Take it! You will love it. I took my new SS on a 1600 miles road trip and it was surprisingly comfortable. Also was able to test it out at 111mph up an incline. =)

I had mine a month when I decided to drive across country (Las Vegas to Delaware and back), 2800 miles each way. Loved every minute of it.

Don't be scared, drive it! Drove mine from Indy to NM for a new job. Work then sent me to Pensacola FL for additional training. While I was there I went to Key Largo to visit my cousin over a long weekend. After I was done with my training I went back home to Indy before heading back to NM. And here in a few months will be heading to Indy again! Had the car for about 21 months and almost 35k miles.

Drive it. It's pretty comfortable, I've taken it on a 1400 mile trip before and did very well.
