Help! LED Dome lighting

Long story short I found a blue led light for my dome lighting on ebay for about $6 by lexen that was suppose to be compatable with my car. I removed the lens cover and everything now im looking at the bulb with the surrounding grey piece in my car and the led light i purchased. I dont know if i can remove the the grey piece because its a little harder to take off and I dont want to break it. My question is can i remove the grey piece safely without breaking it and if so how. If not I will just buy a blue led bulb next time. Thanks for reading and any feedback is appreciated.

You dont need to remove the gray piece. You can just pull the bulb out.

That looks way to complicated. I would just get a bulb.

I put 2 of those in my dome light. Just had to do some fancy wiring and squeeze them in there. A lot brighter than a regular bulb.

This is what I have for my dome and trunk lights also. The other peices are just adapters to make the work with about any kind of bulb.
