Anyone from Ky. Tornado information

Does anyone have any information on tornado that was near or hit the corvette assembly plant? The National Corvette museum sits next door.

From a good friend at the corvette plant:

We’re all good! Despite reports there have not been any tornados at or ON the museum or plant. Ha! It’s funny how a reported funnel cloud can turn into “a semi flew off the interstate and smashed into the museum”. Craziness!

Must be something in the air there...Bowlingreen has been hit before...we were at the mall I think in 2000. tornado sirens a sounding..and while everyone was hiding in the "safe place" bathrooms, a local said Oh yea the mall has been hit before by a tornado.....hail the size of golf balls...but it didn't hit....I still love Bowlingreen...

ill probably get in trouble for going off topic again but they are building a road course right across the interstate from the museum. its proposed and planned at this point but road courses have a way of falling by the wayside shortly after the planning stages. i hope this one goes through. will work for track time.

Well I lived in central indiana when growing up. I have seen many of homes and fatalities from tornado's. Worst was in 1973 when a van load of girls and coaches tried to outrun a twister off of 1-70 . They were wrapped bumper to bumper up a telephone pole ( and it didn't break ). Killed all 9 of them.

I remember in 1998 or there abouts the storm that hit with HUGE Hail. There are still cars driving around Hail Damage...

Good to hear you guys down in Bowling Green made it through ok. It got a little nasty here in Louisville for a while. Mostly intense wind with a few minutes of pretty hard rain followed by drizzle all day.

LOL, I was with a patient, mid procedure when an emergency message came over the telephone speaker saying there was a tornado about ten blocks from where we were sitting. I said "I think we should we head for the basement, just to be safe". She said "It's a tornado, it couldn't be any worse than this."

I didn't know there was a Corvette Museum up here. Yay!!!

I work at Fort Campbell but we didn't even get a warning. I was waiting, though. I did hear something happened in Hopkinsville but not sure.
