Leasing a Hot Wheels Edition?

My dealer has one in stock. It's an automatic 2LT. I'm going this Saturday to look, but any guesses on how much I can expect to put down to keep my payment at $250 per month? I don't care how many years the lease is for...12 or 15K miles per year is fine too.

I have never leased a car, but I've always been told it's a bad idea....not sure how monthly cost is calculated.

That's a terrible idea .. my 2 cents .. Especially since modification wise you can't do anything .. All you're going to do is rent the car, if you were to drop 6-8k into a lease to make your payment that low you mine as well just buy the car or you just wasting 8k to rent the vehicle for 3 years.

What's your reasoning for wanting to lease? If it's credit concerns, you still have to have 'o.k' credit to lease.
Not sure a dealer would lease a Hot Wheels edition when they can get premium for it?!?

MSRP is $37,915 before incentives and rebates.

I'm looking to lease simply because I need the lowest monthly payment possible. Still in college at the moment, but I'm definitely looking to buy it after the lease.

Fair enough, if you're going to do that, just make absolute sure you find out what the exact price to buyout at the end of your lease would be ... Also check to see what you would have left to pay on the car if you bought it out-right.

Better hope nobody hits you or you get into an accident while driving you will end up paying more in fees and fixing it than the car actually costs

A. Don't lease
B. Don't buy a 40,000 dollar car when in college, or right out of college. Get something cheap for a year or two and pick up a used Camaro for 20K then.

Financing my pre owned 2LT comes out to be $550 a month with insurance. If you can't swing at least $500 a month, I would look at a cheaper vehicle. Unless you put down a hefty down payment.

not a good idea on such an expensive car! lease a corrolla/sentra or something and then move up 2 or 3 years later
