Hmmm
If you are interested, the Western Michigan Camaro Club has been around for 35 years. We host the Berger Chevrolet All Chevy Show during the 28th Street Metro Cruise every year. Of course we do many other activities too. We hold monthly meetings and publish a monthly newsletter as well. We accept all year Camaros in the Club and already have 4 members with 5th Gens.

You can PM me for more info.

I know there are already several posts about winter tires and wheels, but I thought I'd start one in the "West Michigan" forum so those who live in Florida won't tell us how stupid we are for driving our Camaros during the winter. I plan to as it will be my daily driver.

What are your plans?

My car is my DD... 365 a year... so I'll be doing dedicated snow tires... may try just swapping out the backs first and see how that goes...

I was really hoping to see Rich Rod cry again... Looking forward to October 3rd.

To scrming, which tires are you going to use? I am looking to just swap out tires as well. Although, I've heard it's not good to repeatedly take tires on and off of rims.

Well, I'm not driving mine as a DD. However, if I were, I would get a 2nd set of wheels for the back with winter tires. Also, make sure to add some weight in the trunk

If you read the interview with Camaro Chief Vehicle Engineer, Al Oppenheiser, in the October issue of Super Chevy magazine, he says one of the biggest challenges was developing a tire that was good in the snow. They worked with Pirelli to make sure the tires on both the V8 & V6 cars worked well in the snow.

So, maybe they will be OK without needing special snow tires?
