Sorry guys I can't figure out how to get my picture on this part. Just go to my garage. Again sorry. I have a SLP numbered hood. I will say that some on the hoods here are alot nicer and kickass then mine but check it out. It is functional though.

The mail slot, IMO, takes away from quite a few of these otherwise awesome looking hoods. To me, it's the single greatest FAIL on the body design of the SS.

well, I used to not be able to get the rear tires to spin when nailing the gas pedal, since I've had the hood put on, I have to easily apply pressure to the pedal. But every so often I like to hear the squeal of burning rubber!

There is a HP gain, not sure how much. Have not really noticed much of a difference in temperature change though.

I do agree in a sense. But no offense to those who like the mail slot. The SS front fascia is an aggressive looking front end, mailslot doesn't really blend well with aftermarket hoods. I think it would be great if they "GM" made it an option to have/or not have a slot on the SS model.

Next Summer or whenever I get the chance, I'm gonna buy a SS fascia and have the slot filled in by my body shop.

SEIBON Hood

My old hood installing a different one now. no issues whatsoever with fitment. No weight savings since the stock hood is aluminum anyway. You have to use double sided tape for the WW bracket

This is an awesome hood . I'm wondering if any companies sells them pre-painted? That would be a huge selling point. This will be my next mod and I'd like to see all the options. Thanks in advance!

Sounda good, I'll definitely pay a visit to the site. So many new hoods popping up. It seems like when I've narrowed down my search, something I've never seen pops up, like this one. Beautiful hood nontheless! I'd like to see more pictures from members with aftermarket hoods!
