I've seen every color of the GM guards except this one, I'm hoping it's like carbon fiber.

Carbon flash is the color that the 45th anniversary is painted. It doesn't look like exposed carbon fiber.

How effective are they? I've debated on getting them because my apartment complex insists on watering the parking lot instead of the grass every night and I always seem to get splash marks on my sides.
Would I get them put on at the dealer if I decide to get them? |

Thanks for all the info and pics, I was hoping they had a carbon fiber look to them.
You can order them off ebay from Abernethy Chevrolet, free shipping and a much better price then from my local Chevy dealer. You should be able to do the install yourself ( save yourself some money also ), here's a link to the install http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120050 .

Yes - they have the Carbon Flash Metallic color and match perfectly. I guess they help with rain/mud but the primary reason I got them was to keep the rock chips down.
I really wouldn't waste paying a dealer to install them. Probably the hardest thing to installing is that you have to remove the rear wheels to get a screw driver in there. (the fronts are easier - just turn the wheel out of the way) You do have to drill a hole in the fender well - but it's all plastic and simple to do. My only complaint is that the rear ones are not 'flat' on the side facing the wheel like the fronts are. So there is a 'pocket' that tends to collect gunk and what not.

I was really looking at the GM but I'd like to see some more pics at different angles of those.
