All too often I'd say that I wish I could have gone back in time to pick up the veh's that were going to be collectors items. Now, we just might be on the right path! |

I only agree with maybe half the cars on the list.
As far as the Shelby GT500 being a no brainer....well not so fast. People think just because it says Shelby GT500 it is like the original Shelbys, and that can't be further from the truth. I could start a whole seperate topic on that why I think that, but I will say that models like the Saleen Mustangs and the Roush Mustangs will be the real collectibles. They are truly the rare performance Mustangs and are created more in the tradition of the original and REAL Shelbys.

Im pretty sure they left the most important model off that list. Where is the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro (top dawg)? I believe that it will be on that list easily.

Well, I'm not sure my SS will be considered a "collector car", (it's not a last year model, or a special model), but it's special to me.
I made a comment about possibly selling it once the 5th Gen. arrives, and both times the person I made the comment to basically told me "You're nuts!" An interesting comment I heard was from the owner of an automotive audio store, (where I had some stereo equipment replaced) who told me to hold onto the SS as the electronics in the new cars make it very difficult to change equipment. Hmmmm..... Anyway, if I can swing it, the SS will remain with me for a loooong time, and time will tell if it's value increases. |

Just some idiot's opinion a few like the Shelby GT-H GT500 Vert. the last of the F bodys... yeah they are all collectors items.. prowler.. SSR well no shit. but putting the VIPER and indy pace cars setting a 7 year run where they even changed the body style is a broad sweep of cars is a little stupid.
