compare prices with your local dealer I'm sure they are saving you some and they can also fix the bumper cover/fascia for you to match the hood, the dealer will not do that |

Two places Gen5diy and Gary's customs. I choose Gary's as he was in Florida and he painted to match. If I recall my total was around $1350 for all the parts, bumper lines fixed, and painted.

Be weary of prepainted panels depending on your color. Most can be done relatively closely but the 45th AE Camaros come in carbon flash metallic and is a real bitch to match. I had mine done locally and it took a few mixture attempts to get it as close as he could.

The best rate is about $699 Shipped from ebay already primed. I have a local shop to paint it. Im just trying to find a $500-$600 deal shipped before i pull the trigger.

Hey TooFaSS, definitely don't go for that Duraflex crap on Ebay. You get what you pay for, and the quality/fitment is crap. I would definitely recommend Gen5DIY, the conversion kit comes with everything included and you have the option to fix the cowl lines to match your SS hood. Mines was a bit pricey because I had it shipped to Hawaii, but honestly it was well worth it. Plus you can always ask Ofer (Gen5DIY) for step by step help to get it installed yourself.

+1. Search the forums for reviews of the aftermarket ZL1 bumpers are you will find they suck. Fitment is bad and they take a lot of adjusting (IE: Body fill, sanding) to get them to fit properly. What you may save in the initial cost you will pay for in labor to get the bumper corrected by your paint guy. OEM is the only way on the ZL1 front bumpers.

Do you have any part numbers for the parts needed through the dealer?

We can help ya as well!! HERE is the link to our bumper option. We do not offer it painted, I would suggest having a local body shop do that for you to make sure they color match the car.
Here is a thread from a C5 member that got the bumper from us. He was very happy http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hlight=phastek Quote:
Let me know if you got any questions. We are more then happy to help!! Thank you, Ricardo |
