Production console gauges found
Hey everyone,
I'm kind of surprised no one picked up on this yet. A member of GM Inside news has a couple of spy pics of the production console gauges, in their factory seals and boxes. http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...-caught-69041/ From what Headpunter said, they will be available ala carte as a dealer installed accessory if you opt not to get the LT2 or SS2. |

i still want to know how hard it would be to pop out like the battery gauge and put in a boost gauge custom made for the cluster

Yeah, but how much boost could the stock L99 V8 handle?

You'd better have Mickeys on the rear with that much boost! That should be FAAAAAST!

Stock bottom end? I wouldn't go over 8lbs. Not that it matters. 8lbs will make plenty of power. My friend's stock bottom end LS3 C6 made 551rwhp/541rwtq at 8lbs on a conservative tune. Bolt-on Novi 2000 kit tuned with EFI Live. Car only had ARH LTs before that. The tune is fat and there's a lot left in it, plus the rest of the boltons.
At that point....invest in drivetrain. Or, of course, enjoy breaking everything from the flywheel back.

You'd just have to find one that can physically fit into that exact housing, which is obviously not a standard gauge size. The only thing is the cluster may be sealed with some kind of industrial strength adhesive which could make it a big pain to sepparate the plastic case without damaging it. |
