To myself though power isn't a big deal. I have actually dueled it out a total of 5 times over 3 1/2 years of owning a Mustang lol. I am more concerned on appearance modifications. And sound such as exhaust, and minor performance such as breathability with a CAI. So I think personally a 2LT is still my number one.

Sounds cool. My first car was an '89 fox body Mustang GT. Now I have a Camaro SS.

pre-2011 Mustang owners trading to a Camaro is a nice move.

Welcome, I have owned Gm muscle cars throughout the years, I even had an older big block vette that I wish I never sold years ago. The only time I strayed was for my 09 Mustang GT convertible, but I didn't own it long, GM all the way!

Yeah I am ready for he time to fly and money to pile for my down payment. With these newer engines the analogy of a v6 is a rent car or a chcik car is long gone now. Power on both rather 6 cyl. or 8. I would rather have a 6 and be able to cath the mod bug nasty than a ss and not be able to fund mod-mania.

Come on, stop stirring the pot, please We don't need any more arguments about this stuff. If he buys an LT he can appearance mod the crap out of it, add whatever performance mods he wants, etc.... if he gets the 2SS that's $10k or so worth of mod money he wouldn't have. That's what he means.

If being faster was the point I would just go into debt and get a ZL1. My point was that with the new era of pony cars GM & Ford especially have it where it caters to your liking. A V6 still has the power of the not so old 2008 model cars like mustang charger etc. But, in a V6 yes it lacks on the low end minus the 2 extra cyinders. But, if you aren't a track god and like car shows and appearance more it makes sense to some , likem yself to get a 2LT over an SS. There is always someone faster than you out there. But, again thank you all and I am glad to be a part of the community and once I take delivery when I buy I know I will have a perma grin

I would look for a used SS. You can probably find one with headers and exhaust already on it.

Still going to an LT from a Mustang will be good but I think if you drove an SS you would look for a used one.
