Hi guys,

I drive a 2013 2SS/ RS, and a couple of days ago my mylink radio froze(unresponsive to any screen inputs), then went completely dark while driving home from work. I wasn't doing anything unusual at the time, I was just listening to an xm station. It was just went completely dark and was unresponsive to any inputs at this time. Restarting the car or just putting the ignition to accessory had no effect. It only started working again after being in the gym for 2 hours and when I returned to it and started it up, it now appears to function normally. I am almost out of the 3 year warranty period and I was wondering if there are any known issues with this radio that I should get fixed before the warranty expires?

There are several known issues. The original Camaro Mylink (2013) has been very buggy. I had a 2013 that I recently traded in, with a few issues but different from yours. I highly recommend getting a service call before your warranty expires.

My 2013 Camaro and 2014 Cruze are both beyond buggy on the my link. Random freeze, reboots, electrical feedback through the BT only on the Cruze.

They definitely did not double check their work on the Software.

Yeah, there is an issue. Mine went out a month ago, still waiting for replacement to get shipped in. Dealer had to order it. My screen went out & never came back on, but everything works. Mine was under warranty (barely still), so the dealership had to order a new one. Still waiting, been on order for 3 weeks. Get it done befor warranty expires, they're pretty expensive I'm sure.

I had my blank screen a while back the dealer said they change a cable but I don't believe them. So far no problem since then I posted it a while back.

glad i looked at this ,, my radio screen goes dim for a while , then gets real bright ,,is that normal?? I was thinking it is the way the sencor is set up,,let me know guys Thanks

my radio screen went black last night and has not come back on. I can still push the area of the screen where the stations are at the bottoms and it changes the station, but I can't see what I am clicking on.

Worst part...I ordered my 6th gen back on Dec 7th and still haven't received it. Gonna be really upset if they deduct from my trade in for this issue when I should have had the car a month ago.

Take your car to a different Chevy dealership and get the mylink system fixed and then trade it in. Shouldn't your car still be covered by the warranty? My mylink and speedometer is completely blacked out so we my have different issues. But when the mylink went dim in my dads zl1 they had to replace it and that took 3 weeks. So take it to the shop as soon as possible.

My mylink is blacked out, but the buttons still work if you know where to press. And the speedometer still works fine.

Bought the car in Nov 2012, so no..the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty has come and gone. Didn't buy an extended because I had plans to upgrade when the 6th Gen came out anyways.

i dropped my car off today. I'll let you know what they say and inquire as to how much it would cost for the repairs out of pocket.

My link blacked out as well my solution was simple

I went in my trunk thats where my battery was i unpluged the red(+) from the battery for 30 seconds put it back in my link turned on and works perfectly, so before you waste any more money try that first.

happened to me before as well also sometimes it resets itself like the way i organized the home page , i just attributed it me putting a mil;ink in a 2012 with the gen5diy conversion kit i figured there would be bugs so i didn't pay it much mind
