Hyundai Genesis Hurricane SC

Interesting article...looks like Hyundai has a supercharger for the Genessis.

I know...it's still a Hyundai, but maybe it will spark some interest in developing a supercharger for the V6 Camaro.

Why Hyundai didn't just shoehorn their V8 from the Genesis sedan into the couple, I'll never understand. Their new 5.0L puts out 429HP.

On a side note, I got destroyed by a Mazdaspeed3 this evening from a rolling start. Man, those things are quick!

those little factory turbo'ed imports can go fast easy. Everytime I hear someone mention MS3 or evo's it always make me miss the crap out of my suby days. I remember when the wrx first came out back in 2001 as 02 model those things stock went 5.6 and around 14 in 1/4, now the 2011 base wrx are doing 4.7 out the showroom

and those genesis might be still hyundai but for some reason I actually like it. If I had to get one I would go for the turbo coupe. I also cant believe the amount of tq those ms3 have all at the front wheel. I can imagine the tq steer has to be serious.

I'm really liking the 2012 wrx sti. I think the price point is a bit high though.

The WRX STi is way too pricey. Unless you need to do some real off-road rally driving, there's no point IMHO.

The Mazdaspeed3 on the other hand, is pretty reasonable. They go for $24K in my area. About the same as I paid for my 1LT. It's still has grocery getter looks, though. I prefer to turn heads.

I've driven the Mazda before, when I worked at the dealership. They do, in fact, have some serious torque steer!

A 75 shot of N2O should even the playing field a bit! I think that's my next performance mod.

What about those DOMESTIC factory turbo vehicles? LOL!

The Flex is running mid-13s all day long with just a tune! 0 to 60 MPH in 4.8 seconds! From a 3.5 V6 TT in a 5000 pound vehicle.

My coworker has a MS3 and my brother had a 08 TT Cobalt SS and the 'Balt beat the MS3 everytime, autocrossing, rolling start, from dead stopped, mods were less expensive for the 'Balt and stock for stock it was a faster car than the MS3... Bowtie til I Die!

Sidenote/Personal Opinion:

I was really a fan of Hyundai until I found out what they paid their workers. Sucks considering they now stand behind such well-built vehicles.

Yes, the Flex has the same EcoBoost as the SHO. Both the Flex and the SHO are AWD so they launch pretty dang good!. Was the SHO you checked out tuned?

Now who would have thought that scrming That is pretty impressive indeed for a truck. Do I see a duel with the SRT truck in the near future

The Cobalt SS T/C kicks the crap out of the Mazdaspeed 3 in acceleration, handling, braking, and durability. The MS3's are norotious for throwing rods, they use crappy non-forged rods that have a tendancy to exit the block under heavy loads.

They aren't well built vehicles at all. They have just as many problems as the old models, they just hired some design talent to create a new styling direction so people actually buy them. And they are selling like crazy, too bad for all those people that will be left with a heap of garbage when the warranty runs out at 100K
