There was a similar post on the Corvette forum but it was a leather interior. This person actually took a needle and thread and looped it around the existing stitching thread. It turned out looking great. You couldn't even see the darker thread because the red thread was so bright.

Please share the details - very interested in how you did it. I've been wanting to do it also but have been afraid of accidentally dying the cloth seats.

Thanks all ^.^. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I ordered the RX black ice-olator. I almost wanted to restitch the entire car myself, which isn't hard, but WAY more time consuming and more parts to remove etc. Maybe i'll tackle this in the future, ha.

Ok this mod is super cheap, but takes a TON of patience fyi. Things I used were my heat gun, small bucket of water, rags, some you won't mind tossing in the trash, and 2 decofabric pens.

I basically had to cut the pen tip down with a sharp knife. It needs to be thin so you can touch the thread and not anything else. I then used 1 rag for my water bucket, 1 rag for my pen as to wipe off any excess, and a rag with water on it just in case i had some run on the black fabric. I used my bucket rag had a little water on it as to get the stitching wet. It is ok if it gets on the black. The stitching getting wet is whats important. I wet about 6-9 inch portions like this. I then grabbed my pen and just touched the middle, most of the time. I had to pinch some areas, and move the pen a little to get it to bleed more down around the bases. Once it looked good, id use my heat gun and keep it hot, but not too hot and cure it(making sure the new color was set and dry).

You have to pinch and redo some things, but it does work with cloth. Just extra care and LOADS(can't stress that enough) of patience ^.^ After your done you can sit back and drink the drink of your choice

btw: if anyone's in the area and like me to do their car for them, Id hook em up with a nice deal ^.^

I'd love to see this in a couple months, see if the stuff rubs off at all, especially at contact points.
