Anyone running 3.91 gears with A6 v6?

Of course you would have had to swap to the ss differential, hubs, and axles.
But I wanna know what kind of difference it made

I am looking at swapping the diff out for a 1LE diff that has 3.91 gears. Need hubs and axles too. Too bad every time I start saving for it, something pops up that requires money.

It should give quite a boost to acceleration and the LSD would be helpful at the track.

Yea I could imagine the performance gains on the take off and like you said, the LSD would make a huge difference as well. I hope we can both get it done soon. I heard of members running the ss 3.45's in the a6 v6 but I wanna see the 3.91's 👍

3.91/3.45

So what r people saying that have switched to the 3.45 gearing? How does it affect the daily drivability of the car? Fuel consumption? How do u think the 3.91s will effect it?

I never really talked to anyone that did the 3.45 swap, I just read a few post about how they feel the difference and one person had a .3 increase in gas mileage.
I kno the SS's do the 3.91 and love them and they say it can be dangerous around corners.
I can't wait to speak to someone with a v6 3.91. I'm debating because of the warranty

How much would a complete swap cost? Ballpark figure for a shop to do it. If I ever get turbo charged, this would be sick.

I seen shops post about doing the swap with parts an labor for 2000 but that was prolly with stock m6 SS 3.45's. It might be more for the 3.91's

It'll be probably an additional 1000. I don't really know what the price for gears and the install labor is but that's probably all you have to tack on to the 2000 dollar price.

We have a complete swap here with the 3:45's. Rear diff, axles, new hubs, and driveshaft if anyone wants...will install as well.
