I've had all three PD, centrifugal & turbo. I would not own anything other than a well designed turbo kit. But if his heart is set on a SC then centri is the way to go, he might not have that 50 ft lbs of tq down low that's just going to blow the tires off anyway but he will have a smooth line of power that's usable through out all the RPM's.

I find most people who want a procharger kit can get away with just putting a procharger sticker on the car since they just want the name. Hell, everyone thinks my ECS kit is a procharger kit. I have to correct them and tell them I wouldn't have that junk on my car.

I have been around, raced, and worked with cars with all types of blowers. And IMO Procharger is the way to go. So much so that i chose to put it on my own personal car.

I will only speak for what i have experience with i will not speculate. Personally, it would be easier better to forget about the SNOW methanol kit and just go with E85. You will be able to run more boost, it is cheaper, and it is safer for your engine. its a WIN WIN WIN (if you have it locally). They make a kit that has a sensor you put on the return fuel line that calculates how much alcohol is in your fuel and it adjusts the tune on the fly. Which means you can run 93, or 85, or even a mix of e85 and 93, and the car will run fine. I race my car with pure e85, and i street drive it with 93.... never had an issue. I highly suggest it.

Also the sound a prochager makes is pretty unique, and its pretty intimidating to hear even at an idle.

Prochargers can be bad ass but for a stockish car we go ECS kit. Just a much better design.
For Snow kit- I won'y even tune a car with that kit on it. Much better, smoother acting methanol setups out there.

Thanks for your opinion guys. And I'll tell him to look into the ecs kit but his heart is set on a centri supercharger(no turbo,no roots, no twin screw). His car is a weekend car only and once he gets the work he wants done it'll hit the strip every now and then. If not snow what meth kit would be best?

Alky kit or AEM are the two top choices.

ECS kit is a Vortech setup, thus a centrifugal design like Procharger.

People just want to see Camaros making the most power.

Alky control or AEM are great meth setups.

PC just doesn't put a kit together like ECS. ECS is the best centri kit for a Camaro (and corvette).

Just put on a Procharger and be done with it. I ran a D1SC for a couple years and loved it. Hated to sell it, but made another C5 member here happy.
