Drivers side of the that engine bay is awefully empty now. What can we do with that?

No, I didn't oil mine. I assumed it was ready to go, right out the box and if oil was needed, it would have come with it.

So we have five units installed. Aside from Rolnslo being first first, who was first to get it and install it? I know I was close but someone had to be ahead of me, I think.

Nope, they come pre-oiled. No need to do anything with the filter yet.

Maybe catch can? Not sure if you have one or not.

I see you have the RX catch can. I'm assuming the VR didn't interfere? Are you planning on moving it to the driver's side?

The whistle of the Injen seems to have gone (I quite liked that) but the sound of the Vararam is alot deeper as others have said. I had my wife hit the gas while I listened under the hood and this thing was sucking up the air with a big gasp

I have the MRT V2.0 and just uploaded my Trifecta tune at the weekend so not sure if my results are typical.

I had a few issues with the installation (heat mat was too large, brackets needed to be cut and I also needed to snap off the two plastic guide points as they did not align with the wing to allow me to get the bolts through the holes, I also lost both rubber washers - add to this the fact I had to uninstall my Injen including the wash bottle and reinstall the stock bottle and it was a bitch of a job) Initial feedback though is it was worth it I will let the ECU do it's relearn process then will give my feedback after that. I also plan on sending a data log to Vince so he can tweak my tune if needed.

A couple of pics:
Looking good!

Wonder why you ran into the issues you did? The heat mat should have fit just fine and I'm not sure what the deal was with the two plastic guide points. I'll see if I can take a look at your install at the next HTCC meeting.

Maybe Vararam should see about gluing those rubber washers directly to the air scoop to keep people from dropping them...

Also curious since I'm running a catch can.

On a side note, there is a post here (at least on the 2011 models) where someone found another location on the passenger side to mount the can.

EDIT: here is the thread on that: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152305

You'll have to check with Steve @ Vararam. He's probably the only one that could answer that question. Last thing I remember was that the group buy list was full and someone else was going to ask Steve if there was a waiting list in case people dropped off.

I already have a catch can and its mounted on the passenger side, on the front corner of the block. Everything is all good and no interference.
