My stock 2003 EVO ran 13.5 @101mph 1st time out and the 2003's are the "slowest".....

Did anyone see Top gear when they put the Evo up against the Lamborghini Murcielago. The Evo was able to keep up with the Lambo pretty good and even began closing on the bends. Clarkson was using one finger to steer on the bends - those things look to be drifting machines. Eventually the Lambo spun out and the Evo passed it !
On a straight line the lambo would eat it for breakfast however. No way a V6 camaro could do that against a lambo, I doubt the V8 could. Even on a straight line the Evo would give most V8's a run for their money.

The evo is a much faster car in every aspect, especially if it's an evo IX.
The evo weighs 3,300 lbs vs 3,700+ for the camaro, makes about the same power, has shorter gearing, awd, and responds way better to modifications. Don't feel too bad though, the Evo is far more expensive and designed for raw performance, not a cruiser. |
