Black Camaro...never again

Man I love my black Camaro but this will definitely be the last black car I ever own. It's bad enough that black shows every single flaw in the paint, but living in the desert just makes it worse. I spent 5 hours washing my car yesterday and within minutes of being done, there was already a nice layer of dust covering the whole car.

Sadly I feel the same way. Black is by far the best looking though of course its the toughest to keep clean. This is the first car I've owned that I have cared about keeping 100% clean as much as possible but it just isn't possible with black. I am thinking maybe the Ashen grey next. I know it will still be tough but can't be nearly as bad as black.

The color didn't make the dust appear!....lol. you can just see it more so on a black car. My last three cars were black and the one prior to that was navy blue, so I feel your pain. My SIM doesn't show the dirt near as much, but your's is the "looker"! Nice car!

Same here. Its a tough boat to be in. 2 things keep me going when it comes to keeping it clean.

1) The awesome compliments I get from others when it has just been washed/glazed. Makes it seem worthwhile

2) I've just started to think of it as a hobby instead of a chore. Gives me a reason to get outside in the sun on a nice day and work the tan.

Ashen Grey isn't all that better. I wash about once a week and mine is not my DD.. Garage and car cover seem to help for me but kind of a waste not to drive a car for fear of getting it dirty..

Same problem here! Get yourself a California Duster...helps a lot. Plus a Car cover...I put the cover on at night to help against the elements...but it will obviously still get dirty. Like the other posts said...you will get plenty of awesome comments on your CAMARO!!!(Doesn't matter which color you have...all CAMARO's are sweet)

I love a car thats black. I feel your pain, a black car is very hard to resist when its sitting in a dealers showroom, dust free, glowing and shiny, the lights of the showroom beam down on it and you look and say i have to have it. Or you see a black car at a car show and its totally awesome looking. One usually don't think of the up-keep that it takes to keep a black car looking good until you own one and if your like me i'am pretty fussy about my cars looking good so when it came time for me to decide what color i was going to order my Camaro in, a black one was first off my list.

If you put a car cover on a car that is not very clean, you will damage the paint.

I say the same thing everytime I buy a black car, with that said, everytime I buy a car it is black and I've bought a lot of cars.
