Belated Merry Christmas everyone! CONGRATS AK MIKE!!!! That's a hot looking ride you finally got.
I am still getting sooooo many compliments on my baby. I had someone come in the store the other day just to tell me they had seen several other Camaro's around town, but they thought mine was the best looking of all! :-)))
I wonder when the Punkins are gonna get off that big ole cruise ship and re-join us???

It's an amazing color on an amazing car!! Do you have any plans to change/add goodies to yours? I sure I'm the only IOM in town and only the third Camaro. My dealer has another one coming in with the same options only red with black interior; he didn't want another IOM; wanted mine to be somewhat 'unique'. LATER!

Wow....you have an awesome dealer. I've heard my dealer has one coming just like mine because so many people have commented on mine.

I really want to add a CAI and tuner chip along with a new exhaust system. Not sure when I will get it done, but at some point in the future I hope to. I still haven't went and picked up my painted engine covers and the dealer is right here beside me. There has just been too much going on with all the holidays! I also want to get embroidered floor mats. What all are you planning to do to yours?

I don't know if I'll do any performance mods; I've been lurking around this forum for a couple months before we got the Camaro and noted lots of mods done by owners. I even debated on the painted engine covers, but ended up not ordering them. We were thinking mostly cosmetics; maybe the crossed flags on the quarter panels under the CAMARO, the molded mud flaps and the heritage grille. And, I have to have the Hurst shifter (haven't called them yet...) I might do something with the floor mats; my interior is light gray and the mats will get trashed pretty quickly. I'm interested to see what you think of engine mods; value vs. cost. I'm thinking I might leave mine alone (for now, at least!)....we'll see once I get to drive it on good roads next spring! LATER! M

Once you get to drive it and really let the horses out, well, you will get addicted and want more of them. There is so much I would like to do but with the economy so slow have to wait on the finances. I have a cat back exhaust by solo and really love it, can't wait to get CAI, headers, and a tune though. Might even get brave and get the intake and throttle body ported and polished.

Got screwed by original dealer in Eufuala, Oklahoma on November 3, 2009.
Found new one at Paddock Chevrolet and drove 2400 miles roundtrip to pick her up in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 5, 2009.

....I'm thinking I'll be pretty satisfied....(remember, I'm old!) I've had some pretty strong cars in the past including my '69 Camaro that would pull the front wheels with 7" slicks. I'm alot happier to go slower these days and even when my wife wouldn't let me rod the '51 pickup, I didn't put up much fuss....we'll see. In the meantime, I am very interested in the engine mods you are doing to see how they turn out; I'm old-school mechanic, when I went to tech school, points & condensers/carburetors were the norm and getting 400 hp out of a small block was an accomplishment, now they come that way from the factory....and it's net instead of gross. We could throw on a set of headers, bump the timing and re-jet the carb and get some pretty good gains; now you need a cat back, CAI and tuner to get the same results. Different era back then. This Camaro is a far cry from my '69, that's for sure!
Keep us posted with your mods!

Not much going on here. I put a couple more pics on the IOM thread (we took it out yesterday). Starting to snow here tonight, so probably won't be driving it much for awhile. 134 miles as of last night. I ordered my Hurst shifter and a skip shift eliminator. Mud flaps are on order and I think I'll order the heritage grille when I pick up the flaps. This is such a fun car to drive, I'd forgotten how much fun driving can be....big old SUV's and minivans for too many years now; this Camaro is a lot easier to drive than I figured it might be. I am so looking forward to our road trip outside next June!
