Fuel Enrichment

So tonight after hours of data logging and watching my fuel rail pressure go from 2200 to 800 psi ive started My fuel enrichment project.. been doing alot of reading on the LNF 5th Injector and will be doing a very similar setup.. if this is success it will be a economical way to get more fuel.. im well aware of magnums and gretchens systems and will be using that info to build mine as well...

major components:

Controller, Mounting Hardware, Fuel Injector , Hoses and Fittings

so tonight i made some of my purchases.. after lot of reading and emails ive decided to go with the same controller that Magnum uses the Torqbyte CM5-LT not only can i replace my S.A.D Meth controller that i have now it has the ability to control an extra Injector with "GPO - Auxiliary Injector Control" As magnum has stated in the past this is a very sophisticated Controller but on a positive note its on sale for $350..i also ordered the Injector holder its made of 6061 aluminum and is machined to hold the injector perfectly.. already have plenty of an4 and an6 hoses and fittings so no need for that stuff.. as far as the Injector itself im waiting to hear back from torqbyte to see if i need a high impedance or Low impedance. now i will not be using a solenoid to control flow the injector will always have a consistent low pressure fuel going in to it .(50-60 psi) tapped off the low side fuel line..(thanks magnum) the Flow will be controlled with PWM through the controller (10% duty cycle-100% dudty Cycle).. why i wanted to use an injector was atomization for better mixing with the air/Meth.

what the game plan is to mount the injector holder right after the Throttle body.. easier said than done with the LFX manifold its composite so i will be using a Poly Filler like i used to port the inside to fill in the diamond shaped gully i guess you can all it to give me a thicker surface to drill and tap for the Base of the Holder..the holder than has a 1/8 npt hole tapped on the top to supply the fuel.. which again will be coming for the low side fuel pump.. i will take plenty of pictures and post if anyone else wanted to do.. now going with the torqbyte is not your only option SplitSec makes AICs (additional Injector Controller) that just controls the Injector but for the price i could integrate everything into one system.. here are some links to the stuff i ordered

SUCCESS!!!!

so I put a basic map on this morning.. changed my HPFP fuel pressure to 1850 instead of 2300 and did a pull.. Fuel pressure held Perfectly meth kicked in at 5psi and was 100% by 9 psi.. 7th started at 7psi at 20% dc to 40% by 11 psi and AFR was really good at .86 this was just a really rough map .. but once fined tuned will be perfect.. no bogging or misses up top all the way to 7k ..
