IMO the product was better than the AAC one (although I would've liked a solid coating or band over the individual LEDs) as far as aesthetics and functionality go, but it just wasn't reliable. He did say that he was working on changing the way he protected the wires but I was out before then. If it worked...it was well worth the extra money over the AAC one...but with my experience it just wasn't reliable enough. If he really did close his doors and took the money without delivering the product...he's just an @ss.

Are there any electrical geniuses out there that can just repair my control box? It shorted and burned a couple things inside. If I could have someone that knows how to do this, redo my original control box that would be great, since for obvious reasons I didn't get the replacement that I was told was coming.

My eBay find is going strong still after close to 2 years.. 20 bucks. I did have to hot glue the ends to keep them water tight. First one was not sealed. Might be something to consider if you want to change the look. I know you guys are frustrated and it sucks for you all. Just thought I'd post this up in case anyone wanted a cheap fix. The light looks better in real life because the squares of the grill bounce the light around a bit as well. Hope you get some resolution. Wizz |
