I figured I would throw a little info in on this intake. Not on a Camaro, but my DD a 09 G8 Gt that has a smallish cam and full bolt ons/exhaust. No where in the power band did this intake make any more power than stock. Down low it lost more than 30hp in most places and slowly creeped up to losing 5-10 at red line..

Completely expected. Only losing 30hp down low is actually one of the better test. I've seen 60+rwhp losses down low and 40+up top on some cars.

How do you think an L99 setup below will do with this intake?
I am working on getting the Hellion Top mount TT's. getting a little over a year I think from now. but until then I like to do some other things like this new intake. just don't know if it will kill my current N/A setup.

about 450rwhp to 490rwhp depending on the dyno. 450 was a mustang when it was tuned.

FYI: This Camaro is more Show than performance. you can see it here @ https://www.facebook.com/NBECAMARO/

Cam 231/239 @50 .617/.624 115 LSA
VVT Delete as LS3 upgrade kit
Ported TB and Intake
LT Headers w/Cat Del
Misc crap...

From what "everyone" says, your current setup will suffer. Or at least assume it will. And it will need a tune for sure along with some wiring and fuel line modifications for a clean look like mine. I can not stomach that ugly LS3 intake!!! It works very well if all you care about is making every last HP you can without going to an extreme intake. For me the slight amount of power I may have sacrificed was well worth it given the look of my engine bay. I put 11,000 miles on my car during our very short summer last year so the 50-75 HP lost with this intake means nothing to me. I'd definitely install it with your Hellion kit though !! Good luck

my 1le is currently stainlessworks full exhaust and adm intake, bo white tb making 432whp....im currently thinking of adding it along with a btr stage 2 and a NX plate kit with a 100 jet.. since its not a daily driver and will be doing mostly 1/4 mile type pulls I figure the looks are worth it so long as it doesn't loose power. but maybe I will do a before and after only difference being the manifold.

Ideally you'd want to do dyno comparisons, Sniper vs a a stock intake. Comparing overall power and torque as well as peak.

Originally I put a fitting in one of the ports on the manifold but it was at the rear bottom, this allows any fuel/oil that may accumulate to go directly into the port so I added a bung to the back to alleviate the problem. There are detailed pictures in my build thread.

For one you need a cam that will utilize this type of set up and turn some decent rpm. you want to shift at 6200-6400 leave it alone. Most speced off the shelf cams are designed for the stock intake. On my set up (stock rod mod intake) its done at 6700ish then falls flat on its face.

Mine still pulls upwards of 7000 rpm although my cam was ground specifically for my set up with this manifold.

This holley sniper intake is ticking me off, the fittings go straight down essentially pinching the brake booster hose when I install it, cannot match the threads for the large fitting at all. I have been to Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, Autozone,Tractor Supply, Fastenal ect...... 1/4 NPT my ass, ordered elbows 1/4 NPT nothing fits. Called Holley also let them know their documentation is incorrect as well. The instructions say it comes with (1) 1/4 fitting, and (3) 3/8 fitting when it is actually (3) 1/8 fittings. Nothing male pipe thread 1/4 will fit the manifold, nor will the fitting fit in the female 1/4 NPT threads ....... at a loss, the fitment is good for the intake but these fittings SUCK.
