Determining Crank HP?
How are you guys figuring up your Crank HP? Adding 20% to your RWHP dyno numbers? Does that still hold true with my LS3 conversion?
I ask because I have a few custom tags in mind, and if I can't get them I'm going to do a HP tag, and since Crank HP is what is advertised and what everyone generally understands more than RWHP, I want to use my Crank HP. I've had people ask me what the HP of these cars are stock, and when I tell them what the RWHP is, they're usually like, "huh?". Appreciate the help!! Did you ever get a base dyno?
Stock crank was 400, so that divided on what your baseline was. I base lined 310 on my l99. 22.5%. Your loss will range from anywhere really 20-30%. Assuming you lost 20% you're at 606 crank. |

it's not just the drivtrain loss if you running a Supercharger they are not 100% efficient so you are using eating HP for that also ...

Divide wheel hp by .85 for manuals for a 15% loss.
Divide wheel hp by .75 for autos for a 25% loss. use .775 if you figure 22.5% loss.

Went to the tag office with 3 in mind.
NOTSTOK - Taken NOTSTOC - Approved 600PLUS - Would not approve for some reason, said something like its similar to what they use for their vehicles. So I went with N0TST0C, I wanted it with a K but oh well. Do you think it gets my point across? I have to have a lame temporary tag until it comes in, said it could be 90 Days.
