No Sir it was just an example.

I am not positive, I am at home on Sunday, but I think stock are 39 lb injectors.

I'm assuming this is a simple fix? Would I need a spacer for the fuel rail mount?

65# injectors that were installed for my ProCharger build seem fine, not sure why anyone would pay 2x as much for something "slightly" better. The 65# injectors I have are probably 10x better than what was there before to begin with.
Not a engine guy but I'm sure the injectos most builders used before knowledge of these ones are most likely good for average joe's like myself unless someone can prove me wrong.

There's a few ways you can go. You can get them in 48mm, and 60mm lengths, or you could use the length adapters they sell. You might need to change the electrical plug, though. Not any problem. Get the right injectors, with the correct data, and you're all good!

For the ID-1000s Yes the ID-850s are a direct bolt in for LS3/L99

I want to make sure I have fuel for sure. I just dont know if 1000 dollar injectors and 1000 dollar fuel system is what i need to be safer or if I am just buying false sense of security.

A hundred tuners can come in here and vouch for these things but i guess for me thats just not enough, i need an explanation of why these are so great other then they make the tuners job easier.
You must be using a dry system because on a wet kit you don't need bigger injectors as the fuel comes from the noid that taps into the fuel rail. For that type of setup I would use a dedicated fuel cell. It allows you to use race gas in the dedicated(little tank) to be a little safer. And with it you also do not need a bigger fuel pump as you will no longer tap into the rail for fuel. The dedicated comes with its own fuel pump and regulator.

Ted,

What size injectors would be needed to support 800rwhp with a maggie tuned on E85, ID-850, 1000, 2000? And will the dual LPE pump setup be enough to support 800rwhp on E85?

Thanks

ID-1000s with an LPE fuel system will do it.

[QUOTE=JANNETTYRACING;2900797]I have been tuning EFI cars as long as there has been tuning software and Engines in general since I was a Kid, and that's a long Time Ago LOL

I came across a company called Injector Dynamics I researched the company and feel like I struck Gold after using them in several of our builds.

http://injectordynamics.com/

I have been using the ID-850 which flow around 1000 cc at 58 PSI and the ID-1000 which fit the KB cars Tall injectors which also flow 1050 cc at 58 psi.

Injector dynamics provides us with critical injector data which makes tuning a Dream come true.

Ted,

Here you stated the ID-850's flow 1000cc at 58 psi and the ID-1000's flow 1050cc at 58 psi, that's only 50cc difference which doesn't sound like much, are you saying that's enough to handle 800rwhp on E85 with a maggie or is the 1050cc at 58 psi a typo? Or do you go higher on the psi and the ID-1000's increase their flow a lot more than the ID-850's do?

Just trying to get clarification.

Thanks

That was a typo on my part I am surprised no one caught it earlier, My apologies.

Here is the info right off they're site.

For ID-1000s, Remember our systems run at 4.0 bar or 58 PSI so flow rates will be higher.

Nominal Flow Rate - 1015cc/min @ 3.0 Bar (43.5 psi) Using Gasoline at 52 Degrees C (125 Degrees F)
Maximum Differential Fuel Pressure - 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel Compatibility - Compatible With All Known Fuels
Electrical Connector - USCAR

For ID-850s Remember our systems run at 4.0 bar or 58 PSI so flow rates will be higher.

Nominal Flow Rate - 885cc/min @ 3.0 Bar (43.5 psi) Using Gasoline at 52 Degrees C (125 Degrees F)
Maximum Differential Fuel Pressure - 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel Compatibility - Compatible With All Known Fuels
Electrical Connector - USCAR

More info can be found on they're site.

These injectors have had nothing but good reivews on gas. I've heard of some minor issues with tuning on E85, but nothing that couldnt be worked out with time.

These injectors(ID1000/2000) are very popular in the Evo community.

FWIW, Fuel Injector Clinic sells the same Bosch injector for a little bit cheaper

reason being they test the injectors and match them like most everyone else in the injector business do,

while ID tests and matches their injectors like professional race teams.. thus the higher price

alright, bringing this back from the dead with a related question. you say these 850s are direct drop in, do the orings need to be changed to a smaller diameter (14mm instead of 15mm) for the whipple supercharger? im finding these 15mm orings are NOT fitting at all in my whipple base pan.

Yes the Whipple has smaller holes in the manifold than the LS3 intake manifold.

Ted.
