Fuel Pressure connection to MAGGIE? - Connector

Guys -

I am trying to connect a fuel pressure gauge to my Maggie - and know I am "close" but need another adapter to connect into the autometer gauge. The new tap appears off of the passenger side - above the fuel rail - but need the proper fit for the connector ...

Is anyone aware of the proper adapter or a PN from summit...? I can trial and error on this but would appreciate the help if somebody as done this one.

I believe 4AN to other was the proposed fitting...

Thanks and if there is another tap-in spot I am missing - please let me know.

I thought the hole was tapped for 1/8" NPT (pipe)?

As the AutoMeter comes it does not directly fit - and know there is the schrader/press valve on that rail when the black cap is removed. I assume my fit should be over that vs removing that valve all together?

-4 an fitting should do it. Make sure you remove the guts of the schrader valve, too.

I had this similar problem with mine. Finally just used the obd info and a phone scanner via blue tooth. Eventually Doc at EFI ALCHEMY in J-Ville put the right one on the rail.

Now, I still use the OBD Blue tooth scanner. Much easier.

So help me here - and guys appreciate it. Do I need to actually remove the shrader valve from the maggie rail (or at least use a valve stem remover) then I load an 4AN on top of that.

If you have a PN that will connect with an Autometer - would be awesome. But no worries if not.

Appreciate you guys helping me out.

Yea - I'm using ODB currently also but we are doing some tuning and my tuner really wanted one - not to mention I could benefit from it. Do you happen to have the fitting that hooked it up ....

I am using the Autometer Electronic - Boost and A/F have never been an issue and hoped this would just fit - but clearly I just need an adapter. Also - if there is another rail spot I should grab - let me know. The one I am tapping is raised on the Passenger Side and looks ready for this (just needs to fit ...

Thanks again

Can't you just remove the valve completely from the aluminum block on the rail?

Andy - no question it is threaded - screwed in there - but was not sure if that was the approach I should be taking or tapping on to that piece (which looks like a tire valve) .... I also did not know how much fuel mess that was going to create (which I can deal with) - and then do I tap it once removed.

Trust me I wanted to take that route but was just not sure - is that the approach? Remove the part on there (the one that looks like a valve stem) - then rethread the new connector in its spot and then the pressure sender on top?

I've seen no pics of specifics on this related to a maggie and am searching.

Thanks for the help
Chris

I'm 99% sure that once you remove the valve completely you'll find that your pressure sensor will just screw right in without an adapter. If you want, when you get the valve out post a picture of the threads on it and we can be 100% sure it's 1/8 NPT... Like I said I'm 99% sure that's what it is.

Andy - THANKS .... Here are some pics sir and hopefully these help. Like I said - I was going to remove that valve tapped in but until I was sure - wanted to avoid. But zero issues especially if it taps right in!!!!

Also - is this my best and proper tap-in point?

Thanks again
Chris

Actually I think that's what my car has on it now.

My meter just screws into that. I'm not sure I know what kind of gauge you are using.

I'mma go out and take a pic real quick.

Nevermind. Mine is the same as yours.

I just have a standard gauge that works with the schrader valve.

Can't you put the right adapter on the end of your fuel pressure gauge?

EDIT:

You know what.............. Just ignore me.

Apparently that is what you are asking.

I guess I should just watch and shut up.

Sorry. lol

NO - you are helping!!! Can you take a pic of what you have after my connection so I know I am ordering the right thing? Sounds like you did not remove that (the one from my pic) but connected to it - then into the gauge.

The picture would be very helpful and would really appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone here for trying to help. I know this seems simple but with so many small connectors on this one (and needing it by next week for a tune / event) this is helpful.

Thx guys
Chris
